Student Production Technician – Part Time

Seeking responsible student to assist our Creative Services Department. On-the-job training includes learning to operate video cameras, video switcher, audio equipment, character generator, still store, and teleprompter during in-studio productions; also, train to assist with lighting and floor directing. Occasional field work required, which includes carrying equipment and driving company vehicles. College students interested in pursuing a career in production preferred. Hours vary weekly, depending on production schedule. No experience necessary. Clean drivers abstract a plus.

Administrative Assistant – Part Time

PBS Hawaii is hiring an Administrative Assistant for its Statewide Student News Network, HIKI NŌ. This is a project-based, grant-funded position not to exceed 19 hours of work per week. Primary duties will include assisting with purchase orders, contracts, expense tracking and scheduling. Candidates must have proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office. AA degree or 2 years office experience required.

Production Assistant – Part Time

Job duties include:

Working with the Producer/Director, Production Coordinator and production staff in planning and carrying out pre-production, production and post-production of programs.

Must be able to communicate in a professional manner, as this position often requires speaking to and meeting talent and other industry professionals.

Skilled use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop a plus.

Other duties include DVD/Blu-ray duplicating, labeling of media, mailing packages, photo scanning and making deliveries and pickups with station vehicles. Clean driver's abstract highly desirable.

Days and hours have some flexibility. Wednesdays (8:30a - 3:30p) and Thursdays (3:30p - 9:30p) required. Some evenings and weekends necessary. 19 hours a week is typical.
