Dr. Vandana Shiva

Leslie Wilcox talks with philosopher and anti-GMO activist, Dr. Vandana Shiva. Her mother, a farmer, first taught her the concept of growing one's own food in rural India, in the shadows of the Himalayas. At age six, Dr. Shiva claims she already knew she wanted to be a "scientist with a social conscience." Later, in her adult years, an event in Punjab, India became the turning point that spurred her to take action against chemical farming.
