STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
For college and high school students, volunteering is a great opportunity to
grow personally and professionally by learning basic office skills and etiquette.
Students will get an inside look at the responsibilities involved in generating
funds and raising community support for a non-profit broadcasting station.
Our friendly staff will answer questions, monitor progress, and provide certificates
of merit for high school credit, college, or future jobs.
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE VOLUNTEERS
Join us for an evening behind the scenes at your local public television station.
We encourage groups, clubs, businesses, or organizations to participate in
our live on-air pledge drives. Groups of approximately 19 people are needed
to appear on-air, answering incoming pledge calls during our March, August,
and December membership campaigns. It’s a fun way to get your group together,
promote your organization, and help PBS Hawaii raise the necessary funds for
quality programming. Participating groups will be recognized on-air throughout
the evening and in VIEW, our monthly program guide.
ON-GOING VOLUNTEERS
In addition to the hundreds of committed volunteers who help with our Membership
Drives, we are also looking for responsible individuals with good interpersonal
and organizational skills to volunteer on a regular basis during the week.
Volunteers will assist with mass mailings, the PBS Keiki Club, special events,
and various other clerical duties.
