In line with our educational mission, PBS Hawai‘i offers a training program for college students to gain valuable experience in the media industry. We offer student positions in media production, marketing/communications and graphic design.

Are you a college student that is interested in learning television production? We have a part-time position for a motivated, committed individual. Hours vary weekly between 4–19 hours, depending on our production schedule. Availability for a weekly Thursday evening LIVE production (5:00 pm-10:00 pm) is a must. Also, Friday, all day for pre-recorded productions (8:00 am-5:00 pm) is preferred. Some availability during the week, on weekends, and evenings are a plus. No experience necessary, just a commitment to learning. Minimum wage to start. This position reports directly to the Production Manager, but will work under the leadership of any senior staff member assigned to the production or project.
