This is the story of the educated but penniless Emily (Lydia Wilson). Accepting his practical if unromantic marriage proposal, Emily finds solace in the company of Walderhurst’s nephew Alec Osborn (James D’Arcy) and his glamorous wife, Hester (Hasina Haque), after Lord James leaves to rejoin his regiment. Emily, alone with the Osborns, increasingly comes under their control and begins to fear for her life. Based on the 1901 novel The Making of a Marchioness by celebrated writer Frances Hodgson Burnett.

The LA Philharmonic’s gala celebration of John Williams’ peerless achievements reunites him with violinist Itzhak Perlman. The performance features Williams’ noted compositions, including themes from Schindler’s List and Star Wars.

Mitzi Sinnott stars in a solo dramatic presentation of a true story of a daughter’s journey, initiated by the question “What do I know about war?” The answers are lying in an album of faded photos of her absent father, who left for Vietnam before she was born. She creates a world in which her father has a leading role, with snapshots from the album projected larger than life on a black wall, bringing the characters to life.
