One of the few crew members from the USS Arizona who survived the Pearl Harbor attack, Raymond Haerry Sr., passed away at the age of 94 on September 27, 2016. This documentary follows Haerry’s family as they travel from New Jersey to O‘ahu to place his ashes aboard the sunken battleship.

Actor John Stamos hosts the 37th annual edition of A CAPITOL FOURTH, from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The all-star musical and fireworks extravaganza will kick off the country’s 241st birthday with performances by The Beach Boys, The Four Tops, Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi, Chris Blue, Phillipa Soo and The National Symphony Orchestra under the direction conductor Jack Everly.

 

This program will encore at 9:00 pm

America’s Independence Day celebration is broadcast from the West Lawn of the United States Capitol. Scheduled to appear: Smokey Robinson, Kenny Loggins, Gavin DeGraw, Cassadee Pope, Amber Riley, Jackie Evancho, Sutton Foster and the Broadway cast of On Your Feet!, Christopher Jackson, along with the National Symphony Orchestra and a grand fireworks display.

The 2016 National Memorial Day Concert

 

Join co-hosts Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna for the 27th broadcast of this night of remembrance honoring the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, their families at home and all those who have given their lives for our country.

 

The all-star line-up includes: General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.); opera superstar Renée Fleming; iconic music legends The Beach Boys; country music singer Trace Adkins; actress S. Epatha Merkerson, actor Esai Morales and vocalist Alfie Boe, and the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly.
