PACIFIC HEARTBEAT: Daughters of the Waves presents a story from Tahiti. Coming from an family of surfers, 20-year-old Vahine Fierro and her two sisters hope to make a living from their passion and travel the world.

“The Life Story of Doc Ball” is a 54 minute documentary based on the life of the first dedicated surf photographer. Doc Ball had a huge influence on promoting surfing world-wide during the 1930's and 1940's because of his over 900 photographs and thousands of feet of 16mm film that he shot in and out of the water.
Go deep into the world of surf photographers and their pursuit of the perfect shot, facing danger ranging from being hit by a surfboard, drowning, or being attacked by sharks. Photographers featured include Jim Russi, Brian Bielmann, Christa Funk and Brent Bielmann.
