Advancement Specialist (Full Time)

PBS Hawai’i, a multimedia educational nonprofit, is seeking a full-time Advancement Specialist to join our mission-driven Fundraising team. This role coordinates the activities for the PBS Hawai’i Keiki Club and oversees volunteer recruitment and training.

We are looking for someone with a history of working with children ages 0-8 and have a background in coordinating events and outreach activities for families. Responsibilities also include accurate, efficient data entry; overseeing timely and accurate pledge gift fulfillment; ensuring thank you letters/notes to donors are accurate, timely and personalized with care and interacting with past, present and prospective contributors by phone, email and on occasion face to face.

Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends on a flex schedule. College degree or equivalent work experience.   Proficiency with Microsoft applications required.  Valid driver’s license and clean abstract a must.

Engineering Student Position (Part Time)

Website Manager (Full Time)

PBS Hawai’i, a multimedia educational nonprofit, is seeking a full-time Website Manager to support its digital marketing efforts by managing the overall structure, ʻusability’ and content of the station’s website. This position analyzes usage, trends and organization objectives, and develops recommendations for the strategic direction of the website. This position reports to the Vice President of Communications.

Responsibilities include designing and developing content for the website, including building landing pages, microsites, posts, etc. to support programs, campaigns and initiatives; proofreading content; defining, measuring and evaluating digital KPIs to gauge the performance and progress of the website.

Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends on a flex schedule. 3-5 years of professional experience in Content Management Systems (preferably WordPress), communicating website changes and enhancements to teammates of all levels, Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and familiarity with website analytics (preferably Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager).

Digital Broadcast Engineer (Full Time)

Operates and maintains the station’s technical equipment including television transmitter systems, IT infrastructure, servers, workstations, printers, and television production equipment. Works in a Remote Master Control environment which includes verifying playlists and ingesting interstitials & program media. Ensures that studio cameras and recording/playback devices are properly set up and operational. Must be a dependable, detail-oriented team player. Knowledge of RF systems, ATSC digital broadcast streams, PC/Mac OS required. Valid driver’s license required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Business Account Executive (Full Time, Two Positions)

Accountant (Full Time)

Seeking a motivated, responsible person who pays attention to details, to process daily purchase orders, enters data entry of accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable and assists with equipment inventory. Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations, and knowledgeable of preparing journal entries. We will train candidate to help keep Hawaii’s only public television station in compliance with the FCC.

Ideal candidate must have a four-year bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent accounting experience. Must be able to work well with internal staff as well as external vendors, and possess time management skills to accommodate tight deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft applications also required.
