Director of Business Support – Full-time

PBS Hawaiʻi is seeking an energetic, mission-driven ambassador with the ability to grow the station’s support from local businesses and work with the Vice President of Advancement to meet departmental revenue goals.  Duties include strengthening business relationships to ensure the renewal of existing supporters while also prospecting for new on-air, online, and event sponsors.  Responsible for crafting sponsorship proposals, setting rates, and ensuring compliance with FCC regulations, in addition to working with support staff on invoicing and scheduling.

Ideal candidate is organized, outgoing and eager to champion PBS Hawaiʻi’s mission of lifelong learning through storytelling.  Bachelor’s degree or a minimum 3 years of sales experience required.  Previous experience in media sales a plus.   We are an equal opportunity employer.

Director of Grant Support – Full-time

Seeking a goal-oriented self-starter to obtain grant funding and ensure grants compliance in a collegial, supportive environment at Hawaii’s statewide public television station.  Duties include developing and cultivating existing and new relationships with local and national Foundation families and administrators, researching and identifying grant prospects to further the station’s equipment and project goals, tracking funder requirements, and deliverables.  Also responsible for completing all administrative tasks necessary to ensure grant compliance and reporting requirements.

Ideal candidate will have a track record of fundraising success.  Must be self-motivated, able to work well with internal staff as well as external funders, and possess time management skills to accommodate deadlines.  Proficiency with Microsoft applications also required. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional digital storyteller with an understanding of how to message across varied digital platforms with the ability to juggle multiple projects and a strong understanding on how to create content that is of interest to our varied audiences.

Multimedia Designer – Full-time

PBS Hawaiʻi is looking for a Multimedia Designer to support its digital products, print and social platforms. This position reports to the Vice President of Communications and Programming.

The position requires strong creative skills with the ability to combine text, audio, animation, photography, and video to create compelling and impactful design and video assets.

Responsibilities include developing, designing and executing a variety of static and video assets from concept through production for a variety of media outlets; digital, website and social media platforms and for collateral.

Bachelor’s degree in computer graphic design, animation, fine arts or related field. 3 – 5 years of design experience in a corporate and/or nonprofit environment. Advanced skills in creating graphics, animations, videography and special effects, as well as editing photos, audio, and video using Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
