Security Lobby Receptionist (Full Time)

PBS Hawai’i, a multimedia educational nonprofit, is seeking a Security Lobby Receptionist to manage the security and front desk duties. This position oversees lobby security operations that will include answering and responding to phone calls, greeting and directing visitors, conducting security screenings, and general administrative and front desk duties. This position reports to the Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities include protecting the organization by maintaining and safeguarding our property and main lobby entrance. Knowledge of security systems. Should also possess strong observation skills.

Must have excellent communication skills, customer service experience a plus, computer skills and valid driver’s license required. Associate degree preferred.

Digital Broadcast Engineer (Full Time)

Operates and maintains the station’s technical equipment including television transmitter systems, IT infrastructure, servers, workstations, printers, and television production equipment. Works in a Remote Master Control environment which includes verifying playlists and ingesting interstitials & program media. Ensures that studio cameras and recording/playback devices are properly set up and operational. Must be a dependable, detail-oriented team player. Knowledge of RF systems, ATSC digital broadcast streams, PC/Mac OS required. Valid driver’s license required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Society of Broadcast Engineers CBTE, Microsoft Administrator.

Digital Marketing Coordinator (Full Time)

If you live and breathe digital marketing, we want to talk to you.  Hawaiʻi’s only locally owned and nonprofit statewide television system, PBS Hawaiʻi, is seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Coordinator to help us to continue to transform the PBS Hawaiʻi experience. This position oversees the day-to-day digital and social media activities of local and national content which contributes to the overall digital strategy for all PBS Hawaiʻi programs. The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing digital content strategies that will enhance our station’s brand, engage our social communities and drive conversation.

Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends on a flex schedule.

3-5 years of professional digital marketing experience and content creation. Strong digital editing experience and writing skills and the ability to provide examples of a robust, personal social media/digital media portfolio a must.  Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
