How PBS Hawaiʻi Uses the Information that It Collects
PBS Hawaiʻi uses Users’ personal information to better understand how Users use the Website so that PBS Hawaiʻi can improve the Website and its offerings. PBS Hawaiʻi also uses Users’ personal information for the purpose for which the Users provided the information, in other words, to add you to our email list, to respond to an inquiry or to process a donation. If you make a donation to PBS Hawaiʻi through the Website, we will automatically add you to our email list and you will start receiving the PBS Hawaiʻi newsletter, unless you opt out. PBS Hawaiʻi may contact anyone on our email list with information that PBS Hawaiʻi thinks will be of interest to you. How PBS Hawaiʻi Protects User Information

Your credit card information is not stored by PBS Hawaiʻi.

PBS Hawaiʻi uses third party service providers to help it operate the Website or administer activities on PBS Hawaiʻi’s behalf, such as collecting donations online. This Privacy Policy covers only information collected through the use of PBS Hawaiʻi’s Website. In addition, PBS Hawaiʻi does not currently respond to web browser “do not track” signals.

Keiki Club and Children’s Privacy
If you sign up any child for PBS Hawaiʻi’s Keiki Club, you acknowledge that you are the parent or legal guardian of such child(ren) and are authorized to provide such information to PBS Hawaiʻi. If you send us a photograph of your child(ren) to be used for an on-air birthday greeting, you represent and warrant that you have the right to provide such photograph to us for these purposes.

We recognize that it is especially important that we protect the privacy of young children. For that reason, PBS Hawaiʻi only collects information about children via the Website from a parent or legal guardian. If PBS Hawaiʻi becomes aware of having information about anyone under 13 that was not provided with parental permission, PBS Hawaiʻi will promptly delete the information.

California Privacy Rights
If you reside in California and have provided your personally identifiable information to PBS Hawaiʻi, you may request information once per calendar year about PBS Hawaiʻi’s disclosures of certain categories of your personally identifiable information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
