PBS Hawaiʻi channel KHET 11.2 (Oʻahu), KMEB 10.2 (Maui), and Dish Network channel 12 ceased broadcasting on January 21, 2026.

HORIZONS FROM PBS NEWS, hosted by PBS News correspondent William Brangham, airs Saturdays at 6:30 pm beginning January 17. The series features experts from the worlds of science, health and technology. COMPASS POINTS FROM PBS NEWS, hosted by PBS News correspondent Nick Schifrin, airs Sundays at 6:30 pm beginning January 18.

PBS filed suit Friday against President Donald Trump and other administration officials to block his order stripping federal funding from the 330-station public television system, three days after NPR did the same for its radio network.
