HIKI NŌ on PBS Hawai‘i

In this episode of HIKI NŌ on PBS Hawai‘i, students share stories about a talented young athlete, two inspiring parents, passions for Lego and what it’s like to be a professional social media influencer. 

Students at Honouliuli Intermediate School on Oʻahu contribute a profile story about an inspiring young inline hockey player who was selected to join Team USA’s 18 and under team and will be competing at the World Championships in the fall of 2024.

A heartfelt HIKI NŌ Reflection from Hailey Jerves, a student at Mid-Pacific Institute on Oʻahu is an ode to her mother who doubles as her lifetime soccer coach.  

Raphael Stark, a home schooled student on Oʻahu, shares his profile story about a local police officer working in Honoluluʻs K-9 unit.  

In a HIKI NŌ Student Reflection from Kason Uedoi, a student at H.P. Baldwin High School on Maui, viewers will be wowed by the Lego sculptures he’s created his whole life.

Finally, students at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School on Kauaʻi share a profile story that features a young man who’s turned his passion into a career as a social media influencer.

This show is hosted by Maya Villanueva, a sophomore at Kalani High School on Oʻahu, and Caleb Crosswell, a freshman at Kalani High School.
