On this episode of HIKI NŌ on PBS Hawaiʻi, watch stories about students and community members finding their passions, from magic to bicycling to horse riding.

 Ryan Alacar, a student at Campbell High School on Oʻahu, contributes a stellar profile story about a young Hawaiʻi magician who has performed at home in the islands and in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hayden Betts, an 8th grade student at Hawai’i Preparatory Academy Middle School on Hawai’i Island, shares her joys for riding bikes and how the hobby has shaped her life, even through tough times. Her classmate, Kili Correa, also an 8th grader at Hawai’i Preparatory Academy Middle School, shares her story about becoming an artist who makes traditional Hawaiian kapa tapestries.

Students at Konawaena High School on Hawaiʻi Island bring us the story of a legendary wahine paniolo—a Hawaiian cowgirl, with a rich history.

E.B. deSilva Elementary School students on the Big Island share their special “Did You Know” video about the man behind their school’s name.

The show is hosted by Myla Kane, an 8th grader at Ewa Makai Middle School on Oʻahu.
