The deadline for candidates to file papers to run for office in the 2024 elections is fast approaching. Hawaiʻi’s primary election is August 10. Contests on the ballot this year include a U.S. Senate seat, both seats in Congress, 64 seats in the Legislature, two races for county mayor, county council races and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
