A recent state report paints a sobering picture of what Hawaiʻi needs to do to meet the needs of a “super aging” population, while at the same time taking care of its youngest residents. The report outlines several challenges including strengthening economic and health security for kūpuna while, helping residents accumulate financial wealth for retirement and making sure children are not forgotten in the process.
