PBS NewsHour will produce and broadcast live coverage of the 2020 general elections beginning at 1:00 pm Hawaiʻi time, featuring reporting and analysis from the NewsHour team, led by NewsHour managing editor Judy Wodruff.
President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will square off in their second and final debate of the 2020 election cycle. Both will share the stage at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Starting Monday, October 12 for three days, the PBS NewsHour will provide live coverage and analysis of the Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing of Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the United States Supreme Court.
The PBS NewsHour will provide coverage of the first Presidential Debate from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, and will be followed by analysis from the NewsHour team, led by anchor and managing editor Judy Woodruff.
At this moment, the country is mourning the historic civil rights figure and a cultural icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and we are also being torn further in political acrimony over the fight to fill her Supreme Court seat. This PBS NewsHour special will focus on both of these major themes, with conversations with people who knew and worked with Ginsburg, others who carry her work forward in the law, as well as reporting on the battle to replace her.
This four-part series features the best arts and culture reporting from PBS NewsHour’s CANVAS arts segments. Each episode is built around a specific theme using artist profiles and first person narrative segments to explore the idea. Among those featured are Lin Manuel Miranda, Bruce Springsteen, Reba McEntire, Adrienne Moore and Joan Baez.

Beginning Monday, August 17 - Thursday, August 20 at 2:00 pm each day, the PBS NewsHour Team will provide live coverage of The 2020 Democratic National Convention. Judy Woodruff anchors, with reports and analysis from the NewsHour team and guests. PBS NewsHour will be covering the 2020 Republican National Convention the following week, starting August 24.
