Jazz funerals are among the most recognized yet least understood traditions of New Orleans. This documentary explores their cultural significance through parading culture and the story of clarinetist Michael White. After Hurricane Katrina destroys his home and archives, White struggles to rebuild, reflecting the resilience and renewal at the heart of the tradition and the city.
In the aftermath of severe weather and power outages, we are working to restore service to our over-the-air viewers on Kauaʻi. Mahalo for your patience and understanding.
