Two candidates emerged from a field of six after the primary election on August and will face off against each other in the November general election. Both Bernard Carvalho, Jr. and Mel Rapozo are members of the County Council and both have run for mayor before. Voters elected Carvalho as mayor of the county in 2010 and 2014.
