Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen and Maui County Councilmember Yuki Lei Sugimura advanced to the general election as the top two vote-getters in a field of 10 candidates in the race for the county’s top elected office. Bissen is trying for a second term while Sugimura is trying to unseat him.
