On this episode of HIKI NŌ on PBS Hawaiʻi, Hawai‘i’s New Wave of Storytellers share some of the fun — and sometimes spooky — stories HIKI NŌ students have produced.

Max Tong, a student at Mid-Pacific Institute on Oʻahu, shares a shudder-inducing HIKI NŌ Student Reflection about his favorite horror film character that will stick with viewers long after watching.

Other stories exploring the supernatural – as well as tricks and treats – are featured by student production teams at Moanalua High School, Roosevelt High School, Waipahu High School, Wheeler Middle School, Waiʻanae High School and ʻIlima Intermediate on Oʻahu, Waiākea High School and Keaʻau High School on Hawaiʻi Island, Kauaʻi High School on Kauaʻi and ʻĪao School and Lokelani Intermediate School on Maui.

The show is hosted by Emma Forges, a junior at Waipahu High School on O‘ahu.
