Hurricane Insurance for Condos
When disaster happens, insurance kicks in to reimburse you for covered losses, but it comes at a cost. That’s especially true for Hawaiʻi condominium owners who need hurricane insurance, especially if they have a mortgage. Insurance rates are rising as extreme weather and climate risks intensify here and around the country. Those mounting costs have led to hundreds of buildings in the state to be underinsured.
