Join us for the national advanced virtual screening of the Independent Lens film, Try Harder!

The film takes an in-depth look at a prestigious public high school with a majority Asian American student body that is comprised of fiercely competitive seniors that share the dream, and the stress, of getting into a top university. The students proudly own their identity as nerds and tell their stories with candor and humor despite the pressure, but how do they define their identities outside of acceptance letters?

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by President and CEO, Ron Mizutani.
