INSIGHTS ON PBS HAWAIʻI returns with a legislative preview, as the State legislature convenes to challenging realities in this new year. Lawmakers must tackle the on-going public health crisis that is COVID-19, a struggling economy and a dire budget outlook that could lead to furloughs and/or layoffs. As the situation surrounding the pandemic evolves, other issues on the legislative agenda could be left in limbo.
