Like the cheesecakes he sells out of his Kaimukī shop in East Honolulu, Otto Cake, Scott “Otto” McDonough, is a blend of unexpected flavors and multi-layered. The independent businessman and subject of the documentary Ottomaticake has been making desserts by hand, without the use of any machinery, for the past 25 years.
