Tipping is not unique to the U.S. but is more ingrained in American society than almost anywhere else. How much are we expected to tip, and for what? We expect to tip restaurant servers or bartenders, many of whom make a lower wage than other workers. What about people who work in retail or in a repair shop or a medical office. Should they be tipped as well? Join the discussion on tipping point.
